I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Next steps
Once the recordings are completed, they must be available to the UX researcher and any other team members for review and analysis. This either includes ensuring that the right set of people has access to the vendor platform or putting the mp4 files in a shared location for easy access.
Analyzing user videos is a time-consuming task; we estimate that proper analysis and documentation of the issues can take up to 3 or 4 times the duration of the user videos. For instance, if 10 participants provided a total of 80 minutes' worth of videos, the analysis time will take approximately 240 minutes, or 4 hours. We will cover analysis in Chapter 8, What to Consider When Analyzing and Presenting the Study Results.
