Pie chart

A pie chart illustrates the numerical proportion of categorical data by dividing a circular chart into sectors (or slices). The size of each slice—or more specifically, the length of the arc of a slice—represents the frequency of the category.

When the center of the pie chart is cut out, this is then called a doughnut chart, as shown in the following chart:
