I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Some vendors provide a comprehensive platform for remote unmoderated video-based testing. These platforms provide an integrated environment for the UX researcher, as well as the study participant. The participants have been trained on how to use the platform.
With a do-it-yourself approach, the onus of identifying the tools and educating the participants on how to use those tools falls on the UX researcher. Standalone recording tools are available for many devices and operating systems. Even though they aim to be easy to install and use, this may be daunting to a target user who is not tech savvy.
