Given that combining user videos with a survey puts some extra strain on the participant, we try to limit the user videos to those tasks where it makes sense. If a task is very short and straightforward, such as logging in to a website, it may not make sense to ask the participant for a user video.
Similarly, if the task has multiple steps, and survey questions are best asked after each step, a user video may not make sense. Limiting the number of user videos not only helps the participants, but it also reduces the effort for the UX researcher.
