When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Who is really participating in your study?
A study is an artificial construct that aims to mimic real life as closely as possible, in order to gather data. Study participants are an artificially created group that represents the larger user population as best as possible. Yet, this artificially constructed group will not perfectly reflect a random subset of the user population.
Think about what would happen if you were to stand at the entrance of a store or a subway station and ask people if they wanted to take part in a survey. Some people won't have time, others won't trust it, and others don't like to talk about their opinions. Those that are responsive either have time, love to talk, or are interested in the reward (or a combination thereof). ...
