Self-reported data
While self-reported data is a valuable source of user feedback, the survey-based approach relies solely on self-reported data. Participants may contradict themselves without realizing, or what they report could differ from what they actually did, perhaps because they feel self-conscious about their performance. There is a large body of literature available that talks about how what we do and what we say we do are not always the same.
