When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Level of engagement
The two extreme levels of engagement are the talker and the quiet type. Many participants fall somewhere in between.
The talker
The talker, as the term indicates, talks a lot. They easily go off on a tangent, and it may be difficult to interrupt them so that they can be redirected.
The quiet type
The quiet type doesn't say much, and won't elaborate on their own. This makes it hard to get enough insightful feedback. They are sometimes reluctant to say much, for fear of making a mistake. It may be helpful to remind the participant that we are not judging them, and that we are open to any feedback they may have.
