Tasks that are very simple and easy to complete may not yield much insight into the user's experience. For instance, if a call to action is clearly displayed on the homepage, and the task is to find that call to action, users will likely provide very little feedback. They will look at the homepage, perhaps scroll a bit, and then click or tap the call to action. The goal of including simple tasks in a study could be to confirm a predefined notion that a task is easy to complete; it should not be added with the expectation that it will yield large amounts of insights.
