Session duration
A common rule of thumb for the duration of unmoderated user videos is up to 15 minutes. This is based on the popular belief that an individual's attention span is generally 10 to 15 minutes. This number has specifically been circulated in the context of learning, and has been adapted to gathering information in informal settings, such as a post-visit survey that site visitors can opt in to.
There is no strong scientific evidence to support this rule of thumb (as shown in a study by Karen Wilson and James Korn in 2007 (see https://eric.ed.gov/?id=EJ772424 for more details)).
