The study participants read these guidelines and instructions on their own before the study begins. Instructions should be clear and simple, and should include the following:
- A thank-you for participating.
- A description of what will happen in the session.
- An explanation that the goal is to get honest user feedback, and that there are no right or wrong answers. This should be an explicit invitation to provide feedback; some cultures are more reluctant to provide feedback, especially if it is negative.
