Task context
For each task in the survey, the UX researcher should make sure that they provide the context for the task in the question description. For example, not everyone might be interested in buying a loudspeaker online, but if this is the only product that is orderable in the prototype under testing, then the task context could state "Imagine that you are looking for a portable loudspeaker, either for yourself or for someone in your family…". Similarly, if presenting screenshots in a survey-based study, it is advisable that you add some context along the lines of "Imagine that you just logged in to the banking app as Peter Smith and you are now viewing your account balance…".
