When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Closed questions
Closed questions are questions that present the participant with a predefined set of answers to choose from. They are commonly referred to as multiple-choice questions. The same rule about leading questions also applies to the responses. The responses should allow the participant to choose the response that they find most appropriate. This requires that the UX researcher carefully scrutinizes the provided options in order to avoid the following eventualities:
- A "This does not apply to me" option is missing: For example, the responses "Yes" and "No" for the question "Did you notice that …?" cover all possibilities, whereas for the question "Do you travel mostly for business?", it would be prudent to add an "I don't travel" ...
