The first step is to create a graph that visualizes the results. Visualization is better for identifying patterns and potential outliers than sifting through textual data.
We recommend using common graph types that allow the viewers to focus on the data and not occupy themselves with how best to read the chart. The best visualization depends on the type of question and thus the type of responses gathered. There are many good books written on this topic, and we do not intend to make this book about data visualization, so the following sections will provide a brief overview of the chart types we use most.
