Dealing with dates

Dates and times are generally tricky to work with, since while the idea of 60 minutes, 24 hours, 7 days, and 12 months is very normal to a person, the almost arbitrary nature of the amounts causes some consternation through code. Therefore, ServiceNow provides access to GlideSystem and GlideDateTime, both of which contain many functions to generate and deal with time.
