Teamwork trends are increasing visible in today's organizations. To gain better performance results, organizations are shifting from individual work systems to teamwork, and teams have now become the main building block (Guzzo and Shea, 1992; Kozlowski and Bell, 2003) to achieve performance excellence. However, this teamwork culture often goes against the pay for performance plan, which is more individual centred (Prendergast, 1999).
