I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
STEPS TO INTRODUCE COMPETENCY-BASED SYSTEM
Before going in for a competency-based system, it is advisable that one should study the organizational needs and its acceptance by all. This is very critical because competencies are contextual and can change from time to time. One should never attempt to copy the competencies from other organizations however similar the role may seem to be. We may look amongst many others, the following critical factors before venturing into competency mapping:
Vision and Mission of the Organization: This is very important and any system designed should be in alignment with this.
Hierarchical Levels: You may need to look at the hierarchical levels of the organization since competencies differ from one level to another. ...
