We cannot have an appraisal format that can address all performance requirements. However, any generic appraisal format essentially contains key performance areas (KPAs), a self-appraisal, a performance analysis, performance ratings, and counselling components. Essentially, the appraisal format needs to aligned with the objectives of the performance appraisal system, and generate information on all the important aspects, mentioned above. We have already appended one standard performance appraisal format at the end of this chapter.
