Internet Gaming and Poker

Online gambling is currently legal in Nevada, Delaware, New Jersey, and Washington, DC. The industry is expected to generate annual revenues of $10 billion by 2017. The market is primarily focused on 25- to 35-year-old customers. To facilitate entering the market, the top firms, such as MGM and Caesars, have acquired online gaming firms that produce apps for use on phones and tablets. Competitors such as PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, and Absolute Poker pose a risk to traditional casinos with their online operations.
