For the quarter that ended June 30, 2015, Tyson reported its fiscal Q3 segment revenue as follows:
Chicken: Sales decreased 2.5 percent year-over-year to $2.75 billion due to a 5.3 percent decline in average sales price (ASP). Sales volume increased 2.9 percent.
Beef: Sales climbed 2.7 percent year-over-year to $4.3 billion. Average sales price went up 6.9 percent due to lower domestic availability of fed cattle supplies.
The segment suffered an operating loss partly due to reduced consumption of beef.
Pork: Sales plunged 31.7 percent year-over-year to $1.20 billion due to a 4.8 percent decline in volumes and 28.2 percent decrease in ASP.
