2.8.10 Irreality Orientation

This is an interesting characteristic of the Indian culture. There is a tendency to avoid reality, resulting in what may be called “irreality orientation.” This is primarily reflected in the difficulty we in India have in anticipating problems and failures. During planning, people find it difficult to anticipate the kind of problems that are likely to come up and therefore, they find it difficult to prepare a plan to cope with such organisational planning and planning at the national level.
