“To know” is the central concept in diagnosis. Most of the calculated management decisions are based on some sort of analysis of the situation or on diagnosis. In every organisation, the individual, irrespective of his level, is involved in an executive cycle. This executive cycle incorporates diagnosis, decision, action, and evaluation, as can be seen from Fig. 7.1.
