Managers are frequently required to deal with the frustration of their employees. The following steps are suggested for effective management of employee frustration.
a. Listen to the feelings of the staff The first step is taken by the manager to understand the feelings and point of view of the frustrated employee(s). This may be done by asking the employee(s) state the problem, his feelings, and perceptions. Instead of being defensive, when the employees express negative impressions, the manager must listen to them patiently.
