Example of a menu flow

As an example, I choose to create a simple menu flow for the PC version of Blizzard's digital card game Hearthstone. A few details about the game were simplified (in order to fit it on a single page), but it should still prove as a useful example!

Instead of using a conservative flow diagram iconography, I've opted for a very loose and accessible approach. Each area of the game is portrayed by a rectangle that explains available options.

Even a simplified menu flow like that, combined with the information contained in the GDD, paints a good picture of how the game can be put together, helping the whole team see the connections between the different areas of the game and empowering user interface artists to start working ...
