I’d say yes, perfectly:

  • Having different types of cards be more or less powerful against different types of shields moved the attention away from just the mere numbers, so I found myself going for a less powerful card that had the proper effect to rightly counter the enemy setup. This was happening consistently enough to make me think about new interesting types of cards and abilities and how to build a more effective deck.
  • The extreme combo system forced me to always think how to pull out a good combo and added a lot of thrill to the next card draw.
  • The elemental advantage became almost irrelevant, with the whole focus of the combat shifted onto the battle itself. It even cast some doubts about ...
